Fighting to Keep Bruce Rural
The future of Bruce Township is at stake! There is an ongoing effort to rapidly commercialize our community. The current administration is working with outside developers and seeking to change Bruce Township’s Master Plan to accommodate them. If we don’t stop them now, expect to see a massive rezoning effort next year that will destroy the rural nature of Bruce. I don’t want Bruce to be the next Washington Township.
Why I am Running
Commercialization is a symptom of the bigger problem. The nature of politics elevates voices of influence above the wants and needs of the community. I fundamentally disagree with this. This is why I couldn’t help but get involved to protect my community. We need real people in office, not politicians
Leaders Serve
We need leaders that are focused on implementing policy that aligns with the interests and needs of our residents. We also want leaders that will diligently protect the rural identity and charm of our wonderful community. Good elected officials listen to their constituents and follow their direction. They should not ignore the fundamental goals and turn Bruce Twp. into something that we do not want it to be, just because they think they have a better idea.
Fiscally Responsible
We are public servants and we must be conservative and diligent with your tax dollars. I believe in full transparency. I want to greatly expand the amount of information available on Bruce Township’s website to give the citizens a better view of what the township is doing. I will give residents a voice in how we spend their money. As a small business owner and independent contractor I have operated debt free for over 20 years and will bring that same perspective to the office.
My Qualifications
I am a concerned citizen not a politician. I am a small business owner of over 20 years. I moved to Bruce for a small rural community where I could raise my children and get away from the over commercialized cities like Shelby Township. I am dedicated to keeping it that way.

Paul Okoniewski for Supervisor
I am not alone in the fight to keep Bruce Township Rural. I am running along side Paul Okoniewski who is running for Bruce Township Supervisor. He spent 20 years on Bruce Township Planning Commission. He was a major contributor to developing the current Master Plan. He has a plan to keep Bruce rural through controlled growth.
